Job 42:1-7
Job Comments to God
1 Then Job replied to the Lord:
2 “I know that you can do all things;
no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
3 You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’
Surely I spoke of things I did not understand,
things too wonderful for me to know.
4 “You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.’
5 My ears had heard of you
but now my eyes have seen you.
6 Therefore I despise myself
and repent in dust and ashes.”
7 After the Lord had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.
1 Corinthians 2:6-16
I Can Only Imagine What God and Heaven Is Like
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—
10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. 14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. 15 The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments,16 for,
“Who has known the mind of the Lord
so as to instruct him?”
But we have the mind of Christ.
Job had great faith and faith is our path to God...Our faith allows us a connection with God, and our prayers keep Him near to us...And so the faithful ones keep God close to them, and we know God LOVES us and is near us...God revealed Himself through Jesus and through His Spirit...The Holy Spirit is indwelt in us, so God is with us...
St. Paul tells us about the wisdom and thoughts of God...The Holy Spirit searches all things, even the deepest things of God...Who knows an individual person’s thoughts except the indwelt Holy Spirit, God and themselves?...In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God...What we have received is not the Holy Spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us...God give us the Holy Spirit...This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Holy Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words...The person without the Holy Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Holy Spirit...The person with the Holy Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, for, “Who has known the mind of the LORD so as to instruct Him?”...And the faithful listen quietly and closely for the Holy Spirit...
So, God is God...And each think about Him in a different way...Job had his concept of God before all his tragedies...I believe that Job had solid, good human wisdom...And Job had this concept of God during his tragedies and sufferings... Job had his own concept of what he thought God was and is...And like Job, each of has our own personal concept of God...But maybe our mind's cannot comprehend Infinite LOVE, Infinite Grace, Infinite Wisdom, Infinite Forgiveness, Infinite Mercy...Maybe we just cannot comprehend the Eternal Wonderful Things...
