Job 1:8
God Said Job Was a Blameless and Upright and Feared the LORD and Shunned Evil
8 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”
Job 28:28
Job Feared the LORD Because That is Wisdom and Shunning Evil is Understanding
28 And he said to the human race,
“The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom,
and to shun evil is understanding.”
Job 42:1-2
God Knows All Things
1 Then Job replied to the Lord:
2 “I know that you can do all things;
no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
We learn that Job is blameless and upright man...A man who feared God and shunned evil...And the fear of the LORD is wisdom and shunning evil is understanding...So we learn that fearing God is wisdom to shun evil is understanding...And we know that God can do All Things and no purpose of His can be thwarted...
There are lessons and learning times when we suffer...And some lessons in life are never explained...So there are great lessons and tough, difficult and unexplained lessons in the Book of Job...For me, some, if not much of the Book of Job is hard to understand, of why these things are allowed to happen to Job...Part of it for me, is that God never explained to Job what had happened...And even in the end Job may have had a hard time understanding what happened, because God never answered any of his questions...Job suffered...Job lost his family and friends...Then he lost his health...There were gone...And Job did not know why God had allowed him to suffer...Nobody knows, because it is not answered in the Book of Job...
Job must have known that God has Complete Understanding and can do All Things...And Job knew he only knew a limited amount of things...So even after all the great tragedies in Job's life, Job clung to his faith, and endured, and trusted God through his many sufferings...
