Standard 5:
Instructional Delivery

Standard 5 - Instructional Delivery The competent teacher differentiates instruction by using a variety of strategies that support critical and creative thinking, problem-solving, and continuous growth and learning. This teacher understands that the classroom is a dynamic environment requiring ongoing modification of instruction to enhance learning for each student.

As an Educator, I will deliver instruction in a variety of methods to help promote growth and learning for all students. Using different strategies will allow my students to remain engaged throughout their class period and week. I will make sure to be reflective of my instruction and make any modifications necessary so that all students are learning.

Pear Deck

Pear Deck is connected to Standard 5: Instructional Delivery through 5N.

The Competent Teacher uses technology to accomplish differentiated instructional objectives that enhance learning for each student.

Pear Deck is an extension that I occasionally use for my presentations in class. Through Pear Deck, I can create interactive presentations. I like this extension because it allows all students to share responses to questions like this one. I can call out on a few students, but still see everyone's answer through my screen.

PERTS Survey

PERTS Survey  is connected to Standard 5: Instructional Delivery through 5J.

The Competent Teacher monitors and adjusts strategies in response to feedback from the student.

The PERTS survey is designed to get a better understanding of how students are experiencing the classroom and to improve the learning environment based off of the results. Student responses are anonymous, so they can be completely honest about how they are experiencing the class. As a teacher, I used student feedback to improve my practice and the different learning conditions students experience.
