Clap and SAY the rhythm

Play and SAY the rhythm

When you hear a pattern that you like, write down your COMPOSITION on some music paper

TOP TIPS

Use a PENCIL that is not too SHARP

Keep your composition SIMPLE to start

• use intervals of a 2nd or 3rds

• Start from landmark notes

• don't forget a KEY SIGNATURE if you need one

• Can you add some left hand notes?

• Can you add some DYNAMICS (louds or softs?)
