a) Overall the piece has more of a staccato feel
b) Often one hand is legato whilst the other is staccato , for example at the start the left hand is legato whilst the right is staccato. After that mostly both hands are staccato, especially with chords and repeated notes with the occassional slurerd phrase to contast.
