Aleksandra Patralska, MD

Medical School:

Poznan University of Medical Sciences

About Me:

I have had the opportunity for a more "off the beaten path" and diverse educational experience. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Biology at St. Louis University, Missouri, and I spent some of my undergrad at the sister campus in Madrid, Spain. During my summers, I worked as an athletic trainer for Miami Dade, FC.

After graduating, I chose to be close to my family and attended medical school in Poland. There I got to work with students and physicians from nearly every country in the EU, as well as Israel, Taiwan, and Japan. I was able to participate in a few international medical conferences in Germany and Norway. I also had the chance to partake in a medical mission trip to Guatemala. Finally, I completed my clerkships in four different cities in the US. These experiences helped foster my interest in supporting underserved populations and promoting cultural awareness. As these interests were part of the foundation of primary care, I knew where my calling was. I've lived in many different cities, states, and countries, but I am excited to call Jefferson Health - Northeast my home.

Hobbies:

Traveling, anything in the great outdoors, tennis, working on my drawing portfolio (especially charcoal)

Brian O'Donnell, DO

Medical School:

Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine

About Me:

I am from Blue Bell, PA originally, and I went to Penn State University where I majored in Kinesiology. I then went to LECOM in Erie, PA for medical school. I like family medicine because I will be able to build strong relationships with my patients and help them throughout their lives in many ways.

I chose Jefferson Northeast because when I rotated there as a medical student, I felt like they had a great culture within the residency, and I really liked all of the residents and attendings I worked with on my rotations. Also, being a Jefferson Northeast would give me the opportunity to train and live in Philadelphia. In the future, I hope to practice outpatient family medicine in the Philadelphia area.

Hobbies:

Playing and watching sports, watching TV and movies, exercising, and trying new bars and restaurants in Philadelphia.

Nicolas Delgado, DO

Medical School:

Nova Southeastern University

About Me:

I was born and raised in Colombia. I moved to Tampa, FL, when I was 12 years old and lived there until I finished my undergraduate degree at the University of South Florida. I then headed south to sunny Fort Lauderdale for medical school. I finally left Florida by moving to Philadelphia to join the Jefferson NE family. As a Latinx immigrant and LGBTQIA+ member, my goal is to serve and care for my community as a family medicine physician with the utmost respect and dignity.

One of the main reasons why I chose family medicine is the ability to educate and empower patients to make the right choices in their lives to improve their health, especially with underserved populations. I also particularly enjoy the full-spectrum care aspect of FM and its diverse pathology. Global health also has a special place in my heart.

Hobbies:

I enjoy listening to different podcasts and audiobooks. I also enjoy reading classic Latin American literature, traveling to new places, jogging, attending concerts, and dancing.

Shrina Parekh, DO

Medical School:

West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine

About Me:

I was born and raised in London, England and moved to the United States when I was 19 years old. I majored in Kinesiology and Exercise Physiology at the University of Delaware.

Growing up in England, socialized healthcare meant that your family physician was your first point of contact for all your medical needs. From treating newborns like my nephew to the elderly like my grandparents, our primary care physician was truly an extended member of our family. It is this opportunity to form long-lasting bonds of trust and continuity with patients that excites me about the field of family medicine.

I have a special interest in sports medicine. This would provide an exciting opportunity to combine my enthusiasm for primary care with my background in musculoskeletal science.

Hobbies:

Traveling, trying new foods/cuisines, stand-up comedy, true crime documentaries, and spending time with family and friends
