2020 Tadpoles become toads in this video. The segments were taken from an unusually large spawn on the shores of Windfall Lake, Manitoulin Island. This video medley is placed on a tablet which is set into a relief sculpture of a mature toad. I started the frame at the Banff Centre while on an independent residency.
2017 A curious water snake observes me as I make a video.I made a frame for this video while I attended a residency at the Banff Centre for the Arts in 2017. The frame is made from acrylic painted AquaResin. It is 18 " x 14" x 2" deep. It is displayed on a plinth.
2017 Myriad little fish congregate in warm shallow water.
2016 This diptych shows gnats and dragonflies in the evening and whirligig water beetles interacting in the shade of a cedar tree. Both videos were taken within a few days of each other.
2016 Close-up of the Whirligig Beetles. These are amazing and mysterious water beetles who are seen always in a group.
2019 Emerging dragonfly nymphs, fresh new dragonflies and flights of dragonflies over water are all displayed in this video.
