In 2018, the Philadelphia International Airport renovated their restrooms across four different terminals. At each of these sites was a Percent for Art commission. These renovations enhance the Airport’s ability to efficiently connect travelers to their destinations, provide world-class amenities, and enrich the public’s airport experience through artwork. The airport welcomes more than 30 million annual passengers.
Megan McGlynn’s Visual Processing II is a large-scale painting based on five cityscapes: Philadelphia, PA; Hong Kong, China; Guanajuato, Mexico; Prague, Czech Republic; and Venice, Italy. Each image presents varying architecture, culture, and color palettes to the viewer.
I served as the Percent for Art Project Manager on this project.
