This section highlights my service contributions as a faculty member at Xavier University of Louisiana and within the broader academic and professional community. Service, as a core dimension of faculty life, enables institutions to grow, communities to thrive, and knowledge to be applied in meaningful ways. My approach to service is grounded in a justice-centered ethic that bridges institutional responsibility, scholarly engagement, and community transformation.
At Xavier, I have led mission-critical initiatives across accreditation, curriculum development, faculty governance, field placement coordination, and community engagement. These contributions reflect my commitment to strengthening teacher preparation, advancing inclusive educational policy, and fostering sustainable community partnerships.
Beyond the university, I serve the broader profession as a journal reviewer, grant panelist, and national thought partner in areas of racial equity, special education, and academic freedom. Whether mentoring students, shaping graduate programs, or supporting state and national initiatives, I view service as an opportunity to build systems of support and equity within and beyond the academy.
The following section is organized into four interconnected domains: Service to the University, Scholarly and Professional Service, Service to the Community, and Service to Mentorship. This structure reflects the breadth and depth of my commitments as a faculty member who engages meaningfully with institutional development, national academic discourse, and justice-centered community outreach. Each category includes selected roles, initiatives, and leadership activities that align with Xavier’s mission and demonstrate my sustained contributions to equity, innovation, and institutional advancement.
