Final Thoughts
Throughout this portfolio, I have sought to demonstrate how my work as a teacher, scholar, colleague, and servant-leader is woven together by a justice-centered ethic. While each section highlights distinct aspects of my professional identity, they collectively reflect a coherent trajectory: preparing educators who are critically conscious, conducting scholarship that interrogates inequity, engaging in service that bridges the academy and community, and fostering collegiality that strengthens institutional culture.
My path at Xavier has been shaped by collaboration, reflection, and relationships. I have learned that teaching and scholarship reach their fullest impact when informed by authentic partnerships with colleagues, students, and communities. I have also come to see that service and collegiality are not ancillary to academic life but essential practices that sustain the vitality of our institutions.
Looking forward, I embrace my tenure evaluation as both recognition and responsibility. This review examines the contributions I have made thus far, while also challenging me to deepen my commitments in the years ahead to continue building bridges between Xavier University and the communities we serve.
I conclude this portfolio with gratitude, for the colleagues, students, and community partners who make this work meaningful, and with a renewed sense of purpose. My goal is not only to advance professionally but also to ensure that my teaching, research, service, and collegiality remain in faithful alignment with Xavier's enduring mission to promote a more just and humane society.
I am grateful to the Rank and Tenure Committee for considering my portfolio and for their commitment to upholding Xavier’s mission and values through this process.
