What are we trying to achieve?
Our goal is actively to support and teach children to manage their behavior positively, by setting clear expectations, providing appropriate strategies, and helping them understand the consequences of their actions, rather than simply punishing them for misbehavior; it emphasizes a proactive approach to fostering good behavior development.
How will we do this?
Provide professional development days and learning opportunities to all educators.
Allied health professionals are onsite to assist with children showing these behaviors.

Leadership
The Positive Behaviour Guidance Workshop focused on promoting proactive, respectful strategies to support children's social and emotional development. Key topics included understanding the reasons behind children's behaviour, the importance of building strong relationships, and creating supportive environments that encourage positive choices. Participants explored techniques such as setting clear expectations, using positive reinforcement, and guiding rather than punishing behaviour. The workshop emphasized the role of educators in modelling appropriate behaviour and using consistent, calm responses to challenging situations. Through reflection and discussion, attendees gained practical tools to foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where all children feel valued and understood.
