Quality Improvement Plan
Quality Improvement Plan
Our service always seeks continuous improvement as we strive to create better outcomes for children, families and educators. With this in mind, our approach to our QIP, and the change from our previous template, is to make the QIP as accessible and readable as possible for all staff, families and even children. Moving away from the unappealing grid style QIP, we have opted for a more visually appealing QIP layout complete with visual images and other interactive functions.
Our goal with this QIP is to ensure that it is easy to read, add to and highlight our service's improvement journey in a way that shows off our strengths and ever-improving ethos.
Our QIP is consistently updated and always available to parents via QR code. We track our QIP in service via the QIP wall.

Eden Academy would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and play, the Kombumerri people of the Bundjalung nation, and recognize their continuing connection to land, water and community.
We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
Here is the land
Here is the sky
Here are my friends
and here am I
We promise to look after the land, the animals and the waterways.

This is Kombumerri ground.
While we have many goals within each quality area, we have three priority goals which are our main focus goals. These goals are:
1.1 Program - the educational program enhances each child's learning and development
1.2 Practice - Educators facilitate and extend each child's learning and development
2.2.1 Supervision - At all times, reasonable precautions and adequate supervision ensure children are protected from harm and hazard
3.2 Use - The service environment is inclusive, promotes competence and supports exploration and play-based learning
These goals are all being addressed under one super goal that we call 'TIME'. Under this goal, we are exploring Slow Pedagogy.
During initial research and discussion, we addressed that this pedagogical framework can lead us to whole centre reform and change the way Early Years education looks within our service.
Therefore this super goal actually addresses more quality areas than the three listed above however, these three are the priority goals and areas we are addressing first.
Use the drop-down menus above to navigate to different Quality Areas.
Within each drop-down menu are the goals we are currently working towards in each Quality Area.
Completed and archived goals are under the tab 'Previous QIP Goals'
