MISTI-Con 2015

Cosplays (12 total)

Rita Skeeter Albus Dumbledore Walburga Black Luna Lovegood Ron Weasley Cornelius Fudge Viktor Krum Edward Cullen Bill Weasley Gilderoy Lockhart

As with every MISTI-Con, the number of costumes here (12) set a record for me, topping the previous MISTI-Con!

Two characters, Luna and Ron, had two different costumes apiece.

Notable first: MISTI-Con 2015 was the first convention where I walked in the Fashion Show as a model, rather than enjoying it as a spectator! With a Luna Lovegood costume that I sewed himself, a noble tradition was born. Only four years later, I found myself such a fixture at these Fashion Shows, I was asked to emcee the one at Leviosa 2019. And I now have quite an array of MERLIE awards on my shelf!

Rita Skeeter's Scoop: Ministry Mess-Ups at MISTI-Con

For the first time, Rita Skeeter showed up to cause trouble at MISTI-Con, with a Daily Prophet full of articles that she gave out for everyone to read. There was also an article specifically about MISTI-Con, specifically discussing (in Rita's inimitable style) some of the most memorable moments of MISTI-Con 2013.

Phoenix Tears Productions Presents: Fan Fiction Theatre

I made my acting debut as Edward Cullen in this play by my friends at Phoenix Tears Productions - it was a very small role, but a sparkling one! Given that this cosplay ended up with half the convention covered in glitter, I was given the Fashion Statement Award, "for an outfit that everyone was wearing by the end of the show."

Fun fact: this was actually my first kiss! Which seems like the most on-brand thing I've ever done.
