Therefore, "Kanchanaburi" can be translated to "City (or Province) of Gold" or "Golden City."
This is called Damnoen Saduak, or floating market place in english. Its origin: "Damnoen" refers to a canal or waterway in Thai. "Saduak" translates to "convenient" or "easy" in Thai.
