For my final project, I would like to research current trends, projects, and players in Open Science. I aim to research the main principles and goals of Open Science and how they have been translated into practice. My topic speaks to my interest in Open Access in the sciences and how libraries can support the equitable sharing of scientific methods and research. I am primarily interested in how librarians can provide services that support Open Science, especially in data sharing practices and creating Open Science policies in their own institutions. In my presentation, I will provide a brief overview of what Open Science is and the main goals that the movement wants to achieve. I will also detail key organizations and projects that exemplify the current Open Science landscape. Lastly, I will outline how academic libraries can support Open Science at their institutions and in their services.
