This may be beyond the scope of our class just a smidge, but I think I'd like to look at early career researchers experiences with scholarly publishing (and maybe tenure), specifically ECRs who are mothers. I'd like to do a qualitative study where I interview mothers who are ECRs or were while having children.

The questions will be informed by any resources/publications on the topic. I'd look at to what degree Mom ECRs agree/disagree with the findings of the studies and attempt to draw some broad conclusions about how a Scholarly Comms or Liaison librarian could assist mother ECRs.

sounds interesting! There are several populations that sometimes get support on campuses (or virtual communities). In addition to parents (particularly caregivers for young infants, who are challenged by high expected workload without interruptions--but this has changed quite a bit in last 5-10 years), first generation students (culture), international students (culture, language).
