The process for obtaining a French student visa involves several separate parts, with their own applications and timelines. It is crucial that you begin the process now. If at any time you are unsure of what to do, or have a question, please contact Emily Capdeville (eecapdev@illinois.edu) or LAS International Programs (las-studyabroad@illinois.edu). If you have an EU passport, or a passport from Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland, you will not need to apply for a visa - please inform LAS International Programs if this is the case.
NOTE: Visa application rules change frequently and the university cannot control visa acceptance. You are responsible for applying for and providing the proper documentation to the consulate or embassy.
