For 2025, with the strong mid-Spring rains, there was reduced fresh produce from the field. We lost 1 acre at Heritage Center potatoes to rot out.
We harvested:
• Potatoes: 65,054+ pounds
• String Beans: 17,650 pounds
Combined total: 82,704 pounds in a very difficult Spring weather year, all donated for local hungry neighbors in need.

April 2025 Weekend Seed Potato Cutting at Beckers LC, (St. John's LC Boyertown, and with Rev. Bruce Ousterhout Reading):
Saturday 4/26/2025 at Becker’s LC had 14 Volunteers helping cut seed potatoes.
Sunday 4/27/225 had 22 Volunteers helping cut seed potatoes.
Seed potato cutting also was done on the Trexler cutting machine with 3 regular IHH workers managing that area.
Other Churches Pitched In:
St. John's LC Boyertown - Rev. Bob Machamer with IHH Board Secretary Karen Pollock organized a seed potatoes cutting session:
2 Pallets, 100 bags, being 5,000 pounds Saturday morning! 21 Volunteers helped there.
Christ Lutheran Church, Reading - Rev. Bruce Osterhout; cutting seed potatoes after worship at their location Sunday:
450 pounds all done by 1:30PM. 20 folks helped for the first time.
TOTAL = 80 Volunteers for the weekend, helped cut seed potatoes for 2025 planting season, which commenced Monday.
Autumn 2025 Harvest Sessions:
• 321 volunteers from churches, businesses and community organizations helped in the field harvest.
• 3 volunteers attended to field management works across all farming and harvest sessions.
• 37 volunteers attended to the Hospitality Tent functions across all harvest sessions. -/LSZ
Land use granted by Patrick Donmoyer KU PA German Cultural Heritage Center, Dave Owen of Process Masters with new expanded acres, Bob & Vernie Noecker with new expanded acres, Becker's LC Cemetery Board acres, W&L Zawaski and Coffey Plots.
Sustainability Project - about +/-8 acres of field corn and soybeans were not able to be planted for excessively wet field conditions.
The Field Corn Project Grossed: $ 3,307.99
All to help local hungry neighbors in need.
