Industry Visit: Diamond Beverages (P) Limited (DBPL)
With a vision to build Industry Ready Managers, College of Management, Institute of Engineering & Management Kolkata organized an Industry Visit, exclusively for 1st year Management students. The visit was in one of the leading bottling partners of The Coca-Cola Company, Diamond Beverages (P) Limited (DBPL) in Kolkata as a part of its Experiential Learning activities on March 23, March 30, April 6, 2024.
In this industry visit, the students along with their faculty members visited the plant to acquire a first-hand knowledge at a ground level. The objective of the industrial visit was to provide students with an insight in all aspects of beverage bottling, which include manufacturing, packaging, and distribution. The visit also attempted to familiarize them with a range of industrial practices from first-hand experience.
TATA MOTORS, PUNE’ 2018
Students of the Management Department of IEM had visited the TATA Motors, Pune unit on 31st January, 2018 where they had a warm welcome from the employees of the company. The Tata Motors’ coordinators guided the students through various workshops and assembly centers and provided information about the same. The various parts of the plant that the students visited included:

Assembly of heavy vehicles
Manufacturing of Commercial vehicles
Car Plant
Research and Development department
TITAN TIME PRODUCTS LIMITED, GOA’ 2018
Students of the Management Department of IEM had visited Titan Time Products Limited, Goa on February 2, 2018 where they got a glimpse of the practical application of Quality control using Kaizen method. The students also learned “Time Management”, “Adjustment”, “Leadership”, “TATA CULTURE”, “Team work”, “Networking”, “Coordinating” and “Managing an Event”. It was a lifetime experience for all the students and the faculties as well.
