About the Department:

The Management Department of Institute of Engineering and Management is the oldest department of the college established in the year 1989 located in Sector V, Salt Lake Electronic Complex, the IT hub of West Bengal. The Institute offers 2-Year Full-Time MBA Program affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) and approved by AICTE. The MBA Program of IEM, Kolkata, is one of the flagship courses of the esteemed institute. The two-year program (four-semester) constitutes a judicious mix of core and elective courses. More than 4000 Foreign and Industry certifications coupled with foreign internship are offered here to the students. The students are prepared for direct foreign placements. The course also offers opportunity of ‘Entrepreneurship’ which provides them scope of ‘learning by doing’. Foreign lectures, Industry talk through ‘Study Abroad Program’ in different foreign countries are integrated in this program. Leading companies across the globe recruits students every year with attractive packages. The Institute strives to impart to its students ethical values, compassionate behaviour, and concern for society. Hands-on lab experience on SPSS, Tally, Portfolio Management are regular part of the curriculum along with Winter and Summer Internships. The department of management has a team of well qualified and dedicated full time faculty members from different IIMs and IITs having an average experience of more than 20 years.
