Evaluating Curriculum for Racial Justice

In this session, we will use a culture tree and critical analysis tool to examine curriculum with a racial justice focus. This presentation assumes that participants acknowledge white supremacy and systemic racism are leading problems in our education system. We recognize that these systems are especially harmful to people of color and the English language learners we serve. We also assume that teachers are willing to examine their own implicit bias in the classroom.
