Let's keep active!

Welcome to our new online activity centre!

Hertford and Ware School Sports Partnership want to help you to be active whilst the coronavirus outbreak is keeping us all at home. We hope that adding any of these activities into your new daily routine will also add some extra fun!

Stay strong!

As someone very famous (Winnie the Pooh) once said "You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." Times might be strange and you might not be going back into school yet but please do not worry; things will get better, you will be back to school and, more importantly, with your friends soon. So keep active not only in PE and Sport but in your studies too.

CHALLenge

6 IN A ROW

CHALLENGE – Can you be the first person to collect 6 shoes?

Equipment: 6 shoes, two dice, a line marker e.g. dressing gown rope or a line on the floor and two players.

How to play:

· Place the 6 shoes in a row on the line.

· The two players begin at opposite ends of the shoes with one dice each.

· The shoes are numbered 1-6 from each players end so one players number 6 will be their opponents number 1 shoe etc.

· Roll the dice and run to the shoe with the corresponding number. Move that shoe to the right side of the line.

· Run back to the dice and roll again.

· The winner is the player to have all 6 shoes on their right of the line, or whoever has the most shoes in 4 minutes.

Make this easier by playing first to four shoes.

Outside Trail Making

Why don’t you make a trail for someone to follow? You can use stones or sticks. Follow the key (see downloadable sheet) to set your course. Don’t forget to give your trail hunter a copy of the key when they start their hunt. You could even make it even more exciting by providing a small amount of treasure at the end!
