If you pass by this little green house, and it easily happens, you miss one of Cha Am's absolute best cafes. And you don't want to. I had no idea about this place that has been here for 5 years and I pass by here almost daily. The cafe is called "Diamond Dust" and is a well-visited place from what I understand. In the short time, 40 minutes, I was there on my first visit, the staff was busy the whole time, people came in and got coffee and pastries and LineMan made several visits to pick up and deliver to customers who had ordered.
A very nice and cozy place with staff who knew their stuff and their coffee. And not least the definitive sign that it's a good place; there's at least one picture of a cat.
As far away from the chain cafes as you can get. There are some really nice cafes in Cha Am that are well worth a visit.
But how was the coffee and cake? It was top class; the coffee was one of the "house blends", there were 2 of their own "blends" that they put together themselves for the day. I chose "Dark Knight" which was absolutely excellent to my taste. It was a dark roasted blend with coffee from Thailand, Brazil, Colombia and Guatemala. The other blend is called "Archery "Wood" but I don't remember the composition. With the coffee I had an "Eclair", the chocolate variant and there is also a vanilla variant and that way I got 4 days of calorie intake in 10 minutes. There are some pastries and cakes to order, I'm not that big of a fan but sometimes I want to treat myself to something sweet with my coffee. In conclusion, I have to say that this is Café Pro Max; if you want that little bit extra and are willing to pay for it, a visit here is recommended.
