About me
It all started when I was playing an online game “Eternal Eden“, quite unpopular now and almost forgotten by online gamers. They had Alpacas as players mounts to move around the game.In the game we are able to make the Alpaca jump by pressing the “space bar” button, and it started to make this cute Alpaca sound, “Mu mu..” and from there I got my screen name, as “Mumu Alpaka”. It sounds stupid, I know. After that I was in love with these fluffy creatures called Alpacas. I also use this name “Mumu Alpaka” as a Writer / Editor name, Digital artist name and also as a Photographer name as well. I can easily be contacted through social media means.

2002 – Shadow Committee of the original EMINA Melaka (Anime club), back then the leader was Shaoran sama, Azrin sama, and Miss Eileen (Cosplay Leader) to name a few, I was unofficially part of the first original members of EMINA, and today still friends within the original circle.
2008 – Started to make my own Anime Club in UniKL MIIT, the early members were Pakya, Haniff, Khalil, Kennichi and Faiz were also part of my founding members. But recently I only keep in touch with Pakya, Kennichi and Khalil, while the others have went their own ways now, some are married etc. We mostly gathered members whom are interested in Games and Anime. Mostly our club activities were internal within UniKL MIIT.
2011 – My Anime club was taken over by, the second generation Fye and Chino. Later Fye san rebuild the club and made it into Ganbatte. UniKL MIIT club. Which now also communicate with other Anime clubs in different Universities in around Malaysia. Fye san now has graduated and pursue his career as a lecturer. The club now has a different path and still growing as time goes by. Some of the Hijab Cosplay members (HCG ) are originated from this club.
2018 – Hijab Cosplay .com Started from a programme under HLISB, as they were organizing the Youth Empowerment Programme, and they requested for me to do a project which relates to my skill sets and interests. I’ve decided to undertake a media based information site as a support page for Hijab Cosplayers / Hijab artists worldwide. In the early phases, my plan was to focused to cover most of Malaysians and Indonesians Hijab Cosplayers, and Hijab Artists before focusing on other places.
Observation (in a Malaysian context) When I attended the past Comic Fiesta KLCC, considered as the largest ACG event after 2010, this yearly event on December its filled with many wondrous people from diverse backgrounds, and interests. The ACG community has grown into a strong 100 thousands people in approximation, for the Malaysian context and still growing. This is seen in the Malaysian setting, while in Japan (the origins of this culture) this is at a much larger scale and since their first event was in 1970, and it has grown so much now and at the same time also contributed into their national GDP, creating new levels of societies and new types of jobs for their people. I believe, in due time this is also going to happen here in the Malaysian settings in near future. However our flavor will be more Asian style, with a mix of culture and this is where Hijab Cosplay comes, Hijab Artstyles comes in.
I use my nickname to promote alpacas globally, not just within my country, as these gentle creatures are known for their calming presence. Alpacas can help individuals experiencing depression and are commonly kept as pets in various Western and colder regions. They have also made their way to Malaysia, where I was fortunate to encounter them at a private zoo on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur. Several private zoos in Malaysia now house alpacas, contributing to their growing popularity.
In recent years, alpacas have been introduced as café attractions in multiple countries, including China and Malaysia, further spreading awareness and appreciation for these remarkable animals.

I also self-taught myself on how to draw in early 2017, using Fire Alpaca, a program similar like Adobe Photoshop. Most of my art is uploaded periodically on my deviant-art page (mumu alpaka) or on tumblr page (meilideren). Leisure drawing, not for making money or sorts. I have a lot of things pictured inside of my mind to be expressed into art.I also only draw using mouse. Mouse. Yes, a normal PC Mouse. lol. Here is a latest example made in August 2018. TBH, It’s something from my deepest subconscious mind, I don’t expect others to fully understand it. Being a Digital Artist also gave me access to befriends with other Artists alike. But of course their talents are far beyond mine.

Since the release of Stable Diffusion in 2022, I have transitioned from traditional digital drawing to AI-generated art as my main medium, incorporating it into HijabCosplay.com. Originally, I self-taught digital drawing in early 2017 using Fire Alpaca and a simple PC mouse. While AI art has allowed me to bring my ideas to life more efficiently, it has also come with its fair share of controversy.
Many artists and creatives view AI-generated art with skepticism, often arguing that it lacks originality or that it devalues the efforts of traditional artists. There are also ethical concerns about AI being trained on existing artworks without proper attribution. This has led to heated discussions in the art community, with some welcoming AI as a tool for inspiration, while others see it as a threat.
Despite these criticisms, I see AI as an extension of creativity rather than a replacement. It enables me to generate visual concepts that would have taken much longer to create manually. While some may dismiss AI art, I believe that how an artist uses it defines its value. Whether with a mouse or AI, the process of bringing an idea to life remains deeply personal.

Event: Comic Fiesta 2018, 22-23 December 2018.
Officially started earlier this year, but was preparing for this event. I did a cosplay as one of my most favorite game character, K’dash from King of Fighters. It was an interesting experience, while others also interacted with me, and also interacted with other cosplayers. Other cosplays I have tried is from Grunkle Stan, from Gravity Falls, and some others as well. Went a bit hiatus after the pandemic, and now focus more on Photography as a way to contribute back to the community.
