Grades: 10, 11, 12

Credit: 1 Credit

Career Zone: EMIT, HES, MMC

Prerequisite: Biology

Conceptual Physics is designed to introduce the basic principles of physics. It is a year-long course that is not recommended for students planning to take an AP science class or attend post-secondary education. If you want to see further help in choosing your course, please see the Science flowchart above. Conceptual Physics covers the NGSS physical science concepts and their real-world applications. The course utilizes technology and hands-on laboratory activities to demonstrate the relationships and patterns found within Physical Science. This class has an emphasis on describing concepts and relationships with some mathematical computations.  This class will also involve designing ans building a variety og devices to explore physics concepts.
