This course will provide students with a strong foundation in the Next Generation Life Science Standards. The curriculum is structured around storylines that encompass multiple life science standards that all relate to an anchoring phenomenon. Emphasis is placed on the development of skills in observation, laboratory technique, group work and scientific inquiry through the investigation of life science topics. Topics include, but are not limited to, genetics, evolution, ecology, cell structure and function, and homeostasis. Dissection may be required.
