Advanced Placement Biology is equivalent to the first year of college biology. The course is designed around four big ideas covering the process of evolution and diversity, energy and macromolecules in biological systems, genetics and cell communication, and the interactions between organisms with each other and the environment. Students will be prepared for the College Board's Advanced Placement Biology Examination in May. Fulfills MMC Biology requirement. May require summer work.
