St Patrick's Presbytery

St Patrick's Presbytery was built in 1929 and stood at the intersection of Kilbirnie Crescent and Childers Terrace. The property had been bought in 1881 by Archbishop Redwood who understood that future population growth in Wellington would require more church buildings.

In 2012 an engineer's report said the building was an earthquake risk due to its unreinforced masonry construction. The priests moved out and in March 2018 the building was demolished.
