HBCU expressions is a platform to uplift the voices of students at historically Black colleges and universities. We want to be able to express our feelings about issues regarding our campuses and the world we live in. Our voices are often times ignored and misunderstood by administration, parents, and the community. Therefore, this platform is a safe space to have our ideas and solutions to issues affirmed and validated through creative writing. It is not a way for students to bash our HBCUs, yet a space to express our concerns and offer solutions, from a student perspective. This platform was created by students (with the help of one administrator, Dr. K) for students and will forever be for students. This means the stories and testimonies posted on this blog will always be from the voices of HBCU students.
Enjoy the writing and happy reading!
