Who It's For:
Level 6 is designed for advanced swimmers who have mastered the fundamentals of all six competitive strokes. This level focuses on refining technique, building endurance, and introducing more advanced swim skills like flip turns, dives, and swimming off the starting block. Swimmers should be able to confidently swim multiple laps with good form and limited rest.
What We Focus On:
Review and polish all six strokes: Freestyle, Backstroke, Elementary Backstroke, Breaststroke, Sidestroke, and Butterfly
Flip turns: Front and back flip turns for smoother lap transitions
Stroke-specific turns: Breaststroke and Butterfly legal turns
Diving techniques: Progressing from basic dives to block dives
Kicking drills: Distance kick training on both stomach and back using kickboards
Endurance training: Swimming multiple laps continuously to build stamina
Starts and Finishes: Streamlining dives and practicing efficient finishes
Team Relays: Practicing skills in group settings to encourage teamwork and speed
End-of-Level Goals:
By the end of Level 6, swimmers should have the stamina to swim 100+ yards without stopping, confidently perform flip turns, legal stroke transitions, and dives from the block. They should be able to complete full workouts incorporating all strokes and techniques, setting them up for swim team participation, lifeguard training, or competitive swimming.
