Who it's for:
Level 2 is for swimmers who are comfortable in the water but still need support with basic swim skills. This level focuses on increasing independence, improving technique, and preparing swimmers for more advanced movements and safety skills.
What we focus on:
Over the course of 10 sessions, swimmers continue to build foundational techniques with hands-on guidance and fun, confidence-building exercises. Instructors demonstrate every new skill before swimmers practice with support.
Skills & Activities Introduced in Level 2:
Floating on front and back
Blowing bubbles and controlled breathing
Key-in-the-Keyhole & freestyle arm movement
Kicking while holding the wall and on the side
The “Up-Out-Squeeze” technique
Backstroke (Backcrawl) basics
Side breathing
Learning how to turn over in the water independently
Jumping into deeper water (3ft, 5ft, and eventually 12ft)
Safe use of the diving board
Introduction to water safety and swimming independently
Each class includes warm-ups, instructor-led demonstrations, practice drills, and “parades” across the width of the pool to build endurance and technique.
By the end of Level 2, our goal is for swimmers to:
✔️ Swim freestyle with proper form and side breathing
✔️ Float independently
✔️ Jump safely into deeper water
✔️ Begin backstroke technique
✔️ Be confident and ready to swim short distances on their own — preparing them for Level 3
