Recommended steps for handling, cutting and utilization: the capsaicin oil and seeds are one of the hottest in the family. Getting oil on your skin will cause "chili burn", it will last for hours.
Always wear food safe gloves, latex or nitrile is preferred
Never touch your face, mouth or eyes
Wear eye protection and mask
Avoid standing directly over cutting board when chopping
Clean up with cold water only and heavy degreasing dish soap all cutting tools and surfaces
In case of Chili Burn, recommended steps:
Skin remedy, wash with dish soap rub a few drops of vegetable or coconut oil. Alternatively coat your hands with a paste of baking soda and water and allow it to dry then wash it off.
Mouth remedy, if the heat is to much on consumption, Do Not drink plain water, it only spreads the oil. Drink milk or dairy products as casein in dairy breaks down the capsaicin.
