Player Responsibilities & Guidelines
HARRIS- ERICKSON PLAYER RESPONSIBILITY SHEET & INFORMATION
General
For those who are new or have forgotten, the Harris Erickson is a season-long tournament, sanctioned by British Columbia Golf's Zone 5, to promote women’s golf. The tournament tours courses between Sidney and Duncan. Open to all ladies - junior, senior and everywhere in between - belonging to a Zone 5 club, a Golf Canada membership and having an index of 15.0 or less, it offers an enjoyable way to keep up those tournament golf skills.
This year we are lucky to have 15 events beginning April 03 and finishing with our Fun Round and AGM on October 02. Please share the schedule with other women meeting the eligibility requirements. The more the merrier!
You are encouraged to enter the Zone 5 / Provincial / National events when possible.
Participation in the courses north of Victoria ie: Arbutus Ridge, Cowichan and Duncan Meadows have had low participation from the Harris Erickson players. You are encouraged to play these courses as lack of participation could mean you do not get to play the popular Victoria courses.
****PACE OF PLAY POLICY****
Be aware there is a 2 stroke penalty for all players in the group if they finish more than 17 minutes behind the group in front. If you feel the penalty is unjustified you can discuss with our arbitrator Lenore Davis and have the penalty rescinded if possible.
AGM 2019 "the first group is expected to play each course in time par for the course and "directly on the heels of the group ahead."

Put your handicap in the HCP column (not your index)
Record your actual start time (not your tee time) as well as your finish time on the score card.
Check your hole-by-hole score with your marker.
Add up your gross scores and mark your gross and net scores clearly on the card.
Circle all of your deuces.
Both player and marker to sign score cards.
After the Round:
Support the Club by gathering in the Club House after the event for refreshments and prize presentation.
Enter your adjusted score on the Golf Canada website as a tournament score and before midnight of the day played.
At all Times:
Respect the course and the members.
Thank the member(s) of the Harris Erickson whose course you are playing and the pro shop staff. (They have provided tee times free of charge in support of Harris Erickson)
Even if the course is not one of your favorites do not say anything negative.
We are all ambassadors for women’s golf. Enjoy the experience!
