Boss Events

It’s easy for new players to miss large-scale boss events, so here are the most common ones people go to in the core game (non-expansion areas) and the recommended level to head there at. These particular events are on a timer, so use gw2timer or the wiki (type /wiki et in game) to find out when they take place. Copy/paste the bracket code using in-game chat and you’ll be able to click on it to reveal where it is on your world map. If you’re new, I do recommend doing the entire event chain rather than just showing up for the last boss. More xp and it provides additional context. Some bosses are not considered world bosses and are not listed above. Nor are any expansion bosses/events.

There are often “boss trains” doing a bunch of scheduled bosses one after another. To join one, use the LFG tool by opening contacts (Default key: Y), click on the 2nd tab and look under World Bosses and join a boss train. Most bosses will have a squad and it’s recommended that you join one.

If everyone in the squad seems to be in another instance of the map, you may right-click a squad member and select Join in “Map name”. As long as you’re in the same zone and there’s room in their map instance, you’ll switch over.
