In 1692, Turner's widow moves from the residence.
History 1693 to 1977
On September 11, 1693, Philip Hindrik Kraan takes over the residence, to run the malthouse and brewery.
In 1715 it is time for Johan Ebbe to take over the brewery and was succeeded by his son with the same name.
In 1728, 1,560 barrels of malt were customs duty, and in 1738 the number had increased to 2,915 barrels (1 barrel = approx. 125-150 liters).
In 1736, the son Johan Ebbe Junior takes over.
1756 Conrad Lagström
In 1770, Nils Stadig becomes the new brewer.
1777 Petter Lagström takes over as brewer.
At the end of the 18th century, a market garden and an inn were also created on the site.
In 1804 Johan David Sundin and in 1848 his son Christian Andreas Sundin took over the brewery, for a short period of a few days.
In 1849, it is the merchant Otto A. Thörn who takes over and develops the brewery.
In 1849, they started producing bottom-fermented beer, ie Bavarian beer!
His son, Folke A. Thörn developed the brewery quickly.
In 1870 they switched to steam operation.
In 1873, the manager's villa, the so-called "Synvillan", was built just west of the brewery. It was drawn by Helgo Zettervall.
The brewery was expanded in stages and was completed in 1874.
In 1874, production increased from 60,000 to 700,000 jugs of beer/year.
A production increase of next 12 times!!
In 1882 there was a merger with Lyckeby Bryggeri, to AB Förenade Bryggerierna in Carlskrona.
In 1883 Folke A. Thörn dies unexpectedly and the manager of Lyckeby Bryggeri, Henrik Berggren, takes over management.
Lyckeby Bryggeri is closed down and machines etc. are moved to Tyska Bryggaregården.
In 1894, a new compression refrigeration machine was put into use - it was thus possible to stop transporting ice all the way from Norway (due to the mild winters).
In 1897, workers' housing was built along the current Blåportsgatan.
At the turn of the century, 2.6 million liters of beer (7000 litres/day) and 1.5 million liters of soft drinks were produced. The number of employees was 49 people.
In 1904, the "Bazaar building" with beer hall, at Fisktorget, was purchased.
In 1914, the new office building was built.
1921 also produced sugar drink, table water and English soda water which was also a kind of mineral water.
In 1927 Nättraby Brewery is purchased.
1928 starts a collaboration with AB Stockholms Bryggerier.
In 1949, AB Stockholms Bryggerier began buying into AB Förenade Bryggerierna in Carlskrona
In 1959, Karlshamn's Brewery is purchased.
In 1961, AB Förenade Bryggerierna in Carlskrona merged into AB Stockholms Bryggerier, which was later renamed Pripps.
In 1972 the operation ends.
History after 1972
In 1974 Karlskrona Municipality buys the property.
From 1988, various real estate companies take over Tyska Bryggaregården.
Today it is Nyfosa that owns and manages it, and that is a contributing reason why this walk has been able to be carried out! Many thanks!
