REFLECTION 1

Work immersion is a required subject for senior high school students to gain insight into their skills. DepEd Order No. 30, 2017, implemented work immersion, where students experience a real-life work environment. This is required as one of the prerequisites for graduation from senior high school and is also helpful for students who may not attend college but start working after graduation.

The program implemented by the Department of Education is a great opportunity for students to learn about the working environment and gain firsthand experience working with professionals. This experience can help students become job-ready and develop important skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, time management, and more. It can also help students explore career options, understand which field they fit into, and assist them in deciding on their future career.

Work immersion plays a significant role in helping senior high school students adjust to and become familiar with the working world, ultimately guiding them toward their career paths. As students gain valuable experience through work immersion, it strengthens their skills and abilities, provides insight into their dream job, and prepares them for success in their careers.
