Students will be able to: Use Shapes as Symbols.
This month all Graham students have been learning about shape. Our Second Graders learned that shapes can act as symbols, and that these symbols can code for a specific characteristic. For example, in our first box, students used triangles to code for how many siblings they have. They used the number of triangles to show the amount of siblings, and then they used color to tell us more; they used pink for sisters, blue for brothers, and yellow if they had no siblings. Students cut out a fringe along the top and bottom edges of their cloths. ⏩
