Standard 5 - Instructional Delivery – The competent teacher differentiates instruction by using a variety of strategies that support critical and creative thinking, problem-solving, and continuous growth and learning. This teacher understands that the classroom is a dynamic environment requiring ongoing modification of instruction to enhance learning for each student.
This artifact is an example of a different form of communication. This was created during my college courses for education. I appreciated this level of communication because it was new and exciting. Flipgrid allows you to record clips and its like a visible discussion board group. This is something fun that my teacher tried that allowed for a deeper level of communication.

This artifact is a demonstration of teaching standard 5 because it focuses on the different varies of learning. I believe that my college professor was a good example of trying different methods to teach. Unlike a college professor high school teachers have a long time to teach students which means thye have lots of time to figure out a method that works for their class. This Flipgrid artifact is important to show there are many resources that can be used to teach your students. Don't get stuck trying to use the methods that always work. To be a strong teacher you need to continue learning and trying various methods to teach all your students.
Throughout college and student teaching I have found things that have interested me and others that have put me to sleep. I learned through my experience and as a teacher that I need to focus on methods that interest my students. Flip gird, kahoot, Quizzez are just a few websites that can be incorporated to make lessons more interactive with students. The takeaway from this artifact is to try and find now ways to be exciting for class.
This artifact is brought to us by my technology in education course. This was my first experience using google programs other than the search engine. It was awesome to see the innovations that the site brought. Some that I was taught early on in student teaching was to try and learn about your students. By doing so, you will form a safe and welcoming environment. This artifact was a google survey used to get to know your students.

This artifact is used as an ice breaker activity to learn about your students early. This is an example of standard 5 because it is a strategy to help you learn about your students. Learning about the students through the survey will allow you to incorporate the newfound information in your future lessons. The most important advice for using surveys to get information is to make sure you reflect on what feedback you are given.
The lesson learned here is to be proactive when working with students. Teaching students means that you will need to learn about them in order to make them feel welcomed. As semesters change so do students so you need to be ready to learn and be flexible with your lessons. I learned through creating this survey to be ready to mold you classroom based on your students.
