The department of Statistics initiated BS Statistics in 2010 to equip the students with the necessary skills to design studies, analyze data, manage and process data using a variety of software packages, and communicate the results of the study to the end-users. Initially, this department offered statistics as a subject at HSSC and BA/B.Sc. levels, but, in 2010, B.S (Hons.) in Statistics replaced the subject of Statistics being offered earlier at BA/ B.Sc. level. One of our students, Mr. Farhan Iqbal, got gold medal in the very first batch of B.S (Hons) that this department produced. This department has an excellent and friendly environment

for facilitating students in their studies.
