Admission is granted on the basis of merit at Govt. Gordon Graduate College after the declaration of the result of SSC Part-II. The main points of this admission policy are as under:
(i) Aspirants of admission to the 1st Year will have to submit separate forms for each combination.
(ii) Incomplete admission forms will not be accepted.
(iii) Same form will be used for open merit, sports & disability quota.
(iv) Form cannot be shifted from one group to another group after the display of the merit list.
(v) It is essential to get receipt after submitting the form.
(vi) Students passing their SSC Examination from any board other than BISE, Rawalpindi will have to submit migration certificate at the time of admission.
(vii) Relaxation in the upper age limit will be in accordance with the policy devised by Govt. of the Punjab.
(viii) Hafiz-e-Quran will have to attach relevant documents with their form for getting relaxation.
(ix) Admission on the basis of sports quota is only granted to the Arts Group. For it, such candidates will have to attach relevant documents with the form.
(x) The ones wanting to get admission on disability quota will have to attach the disability certificate issued by an authentic institution.
(xi) Admission is granted sheerly on the basis of merit. Only parents/ guardians will be responsible for the consequences in case of relying on any other means.
(xii) Any admission that is only the result of a clerical error will be deemed rejected.
(xiii) Important instructions regarding the admission and interviews will be posted on the notice board of the college as well as on the official facebook page of the College.
(xiv) Principal has the authority to cancel the admission of any student at any time.
(xv) In case of the filling of all the seats of any combination or group, the process of admission will be concluded and no more admissions will be granted in that particular group.
(xvi) Admission will stand cancelled in case of the non-payment of dues within the due date.
(xvii) A candidate will not be allowed to opt for any subject at the level of Intermediate if he has passed that subject in matric with grace marks.
(xviii) The candidates, who have passed their SSC Examination in the current academic year, will be given preference in the award of admissions.
(xix) There is no room of any concession in the dues Computer Group.
This policy is in line with the policy of the Govt. of the Punjab regarding admissions to the 1st year.
