The department of Botany of this college aims at not only preparing the students for practical life in the field of Botany but also aims at spreading awareness about the menace of climate change faced by humanity at present.

The graduates of this department can find  multiple opportunities for living a decent life through academia, industrial sector and civil services. Some of the fields in Chemistry are regarded as the highest paying in the world due to their applicability in the use of natural resources.

As mentioned above the subject of economics is queen of the social sciences. Our graduates have wide range of scope in various sectors like banking, finance, commerce, trade, planning, management, rural & urban development, NGOs, NRSP, chamber of commerce & stock exchanges, journalism, etc. within the country. On international level, our students can be seen serving at various platforms like IMF, World Bank, IFO, Asian and Islamic Development Bank, and other developmental NGOs. Today, economics is the focal point of all political decisions in the world. At our campus, we are offering a comprehensive course in Islamic Economics which has huge demand in the banking sector. 

Department of English is managing an intensive 4-year BS (Honors) programme, featuring courses in both linguistics and literature. The BS in English is structured to enable students to learn about the origin and development of a variety of movements, trends, theories, and practices in the field of English language and literature through examples from the works of global and Pakistani writers. In the process, it broadens the students' vision and hones their critical ability. The students are thus prepared for careers in teaching, journalism, civil services, law, communication, creative writing, digital content writing, technical writing and marketing, etc. 

The mission of the Department of Information Technology is to provide education in practical and conceptual foundation of Computing Technology. The mission is to deliver the knowledge in computer and information technology by understanding industry problems to produce feasible solutions of complex computing requirements. The program also focuses on providing extensive support to enhance students’ teamwork and problem-solving skills. The learning atmosphere will enable students to acquire the skills as highly capable IT experts. 

Our objectives are to engage in goal-oriented high-level teaching. The main objective of the department is to pursue excellence in education and research by teaching practices, and providing an environment conducive to teaching and learning. The department tries to educate its students by providing them exposure to real-life problems, and inculcating in them a problem-solving approach. They are encouraged to explore and solve problems, to break new grounds and to cultivate leadership qualities. The ultimate aims of the department are to establish and promote Govt. Gordon Graduate College as a leading institution in mathematical sciences.

BS Psychology has a considerable scope in terms of the requirements in both national and international organizations. Awareness about mental health necessitates the counselling by the personnel adept in the field of psychology. The department of Psychology of this college comprises the faculty members having a vast experience of research in this field. 

BS in Statistics has progressive career opportunities in professional organizations and industries including Bureau of Statistics, banking sector, financial institutions, manufacturing sector, educational sector, research & development, quality assurance & quality control and health care sector.
