Department of Physics has been imparting the education of physics since the early 20th century when in 1904 the first science classes were started at intermediate level at this college. It has the distinction of contributing towards the progress of the country by producing noted physicists and engineers who rendered exemplary services in the various departments at national as well as international levels.

BS in Physics is being offered by this department since Fall-2010. This department is headed by an efficient and diligent academic, Prof. Muhammad Azam who takes personal interest in solving the study-related issues of the students studying Physics. Besides him, there are other teachers from past as well as present who are known for clarifying the concepts related to different topics of this subject.
