more Notes:

Tracks 1 & 2 were composed while I was supposed to be practicing the trumpet as an undergrad at Illinois Wesleyan University, back when it had a School of Music. Now it has a music department because of the ongoing devaluation of the Arts in the U.S.

Music for Oboe, Piano and String Quartet was performed at one of my trumpet recitals on April 6, 1991. This is the recording of its only performance to my knowledge.

Heidi Kitten (oboe), Scott Schoonover (piano), Kirsten Weingartner (violin), Marla Stilgebauer (violin), Amy Drees (viola), Bob Hauser (cello)

Trio (for a play) was composed for a 2-person, one act play that I was cast in by director Nic Dimond. It played during the pre-performance.

Alan Schultz (clarinet), Susan Feldman (violin), ? (piano)

GLIMPSES was composed in Bloomington during the year I took between undergraduate and graduate school. It was conducted by maestro Alexander Tyler III at Regenstein Recital Hall at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, USA on March 1, 1994.

Performers: Junko Fujiwara (cello), Gyula Fekete (piano), Andrew Bird (violin), Tricia Hansen (flute), Arra Bailey (viola), Michele Doyle (clarinet), Matt Long (page turner for Gyula)

Song of Spring was a commission by the Elk Grove High School music parents. (an example of how some programs continue to value the Arts in the U.S.) Performed by the Elk Grove High School Wind Ensemble and Choir under the capable baton of Brian White in 2001.
