Rent Assistance. Marin County Rent Assistance Program

  • Need help making a request? Please email Rental Assistance, or call (415) 473-2223. Requests for disability accommodations may be made by phoning (415) 473-2223 (Voice), CA Relay 711 or by email. Please do not call the line more than once, as it slows down the process.  Staff will be available to assist applicants who do not have access to a computer or smart phone, or need additional assistance.
  • NB:  When you request assistance, your landlord will also be asked to complete a short registry. Both parties need to complete their respective application in order to move forward with assistance.  Some people are concerned they will be evicted if their landlord is made aware they are struggling financially, but by law a tenant cannot be harassed, evicted or denied future housing for requesting assistance.

Emergency Preparedness (click to see details)

The difference between being prepared and being FAIRY prepared for disaster is twofold.  It means you are PROACTIVE in being aware of county resources and advice and have a plan and the  resources you need in place to cope with disaster such as fire, earthquake, flood, zombie apocalypse etc. Secondly it means being proactive in ensuring your neighbors have done so too. And if they haven't help them to get there.  This doesn't mean you necessarily need to  BE the solution during disaster for them,  rather you need to point them to the resources that can help them and encourage, facilitate, bully, bribe, remind  or cajole them  to get there. Don't let fear of how they will react  or fear that they will expect too much of you to once stop you having that conversation. Your knowledge and encouragement can save lives.

1) Powered -  a power solution for essential powered medical equipment

2) Prepared -  support you would need to plan for and execute evacuation in disaster
