• 3. expanding horizons―Free Energy Principle, Ikigai and Yarigai, Henri Bergson, Compassion-based language education, trioethnography, etc.

• 4. continued domestic and international collaboration and exchange with colleagues

• 5. frequent domestic and international academic travels (Portland, Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama, Hiroshima, Utsunomiya, etc.) ... about 10 far-distance trips a year!

• 7. reviewer/judge works

• 8. exciting academic extensive reading experiences every day
