ANNOUNCEMENT #24
Dawn of the Dead Announcement #24 – USMC Infantry Units
Welcome to 24th Dawn of the Dead Announcement! Today we're going to talk about Infantry units of upcoming USMC faction.
Please keep in mind that update still in development and things can be changed before release.
[T1] Security Force Squad
Weak infantry unit, mostly suitable for flag defense far from front line. Equipped mostly same as Military Police Squad.
[T2] Patrol Squad
More stronger and better equipped squad, can be used for capture flag points.
[T3] Rifle Squad
Standard infantry squad, suitable for both offensive and defensive missions.
[T3+] Reaction Force Squad
Moved from US Government faction. Large 6-men squad, more dangerous for the enemy.
[T4] Force Recon Squad
Elite common infantry including 5-men Marine Force Recon team.
Teams & elements almost identical to ones from US Government faction but scout is moved in Doctrine.
Doctrine infantry includes elite units from Marine Force Recon, Navy SEALs and so on.
Force Recon Scout
Scout moved to Doctrine unit, has higher stats than the common scout. Carries a lot of explosives and armed with MP5SD. Ideal for sabotage operations.
Force Recon Grenadier
Grenadier armed with M203 grenade launcher.
Force Recon Motorized Squad
Force Recon squad mounted on HMMWV with M134D machine gun. Deadly, high speed and ability to capture flag points. Also the rear part of Humvee customized to carry 4 more people.
Navy SEALs Sniper Team
Sniper team includes sniper with M82 Barrett and spotter.
Navy SEALs Assault Team
Assault Force of Navy SEALs, fast and deadly. The best choice for assaulting enemy positions. Unlike BlackWatch squad, they don’t have grenade to call helicopter fire support.
Air Force Radio Operator
A radio operator but not in the usual sense of Men of War games. He carries smoke grenades to call helicopter supply drops and fire support by UH-1Y. Within his range he protects vehicles from AI off-map support targeting. He also have an auto-behavior option in which he will call supply drops in case that player units are out of ammo and call fire support when he sees enemy forces concentrations.
[Features still in progress and can be changed during development]
That’s all for today! Next time we will talk about USMC vehicles. Thank you and see you in the next announcement!
Sincerely, ALC Team.
