During an attack on the ISD, Shock Troopers immediately relocate to the Bridge Check Point (BCP) and defend the bridge against any potential threats. Depending on the severity of the attack, Shock Troopers may also station themselves further inside the bridge doors.
During off-ship operations, Shock Troopers assist other troopers in the frontlines and complete any orders given to them by Ground Command.
ERU Troopers attend special operations with an invitation from the current special operations command. They have several benefits to help them capture individuals deemed too difficult to capture by regular Shock Troopers. ERU Troopers are the first responders to any RFA call. During any DEFCON, if requested by command or any officer, ERU may patrol the ISD.
Shock Heavy Troopers primarily operate as a heavy unit for Shock, assisting with suppressing fire and other combat techniques to aid their fellow troopers in their objectives. They also have a deployable shield to help with survivability. Heavies are sent to help protect LZs, capture enemy bases/outposts, assist troops in standing their ground during missions, and support troopers. Heavies are equipped with the Z61 rotary blaster, E-11, T-21b, and a deployable shield. If there is a prisoner within the brig during DEFCON 2+, they will remain in the brig.
The K2 Unit within Shock is a group of heavily armored droids completely loyal to their primary objectives. K2 droids can protect higher-ranking Shock Troopers while completing tasks set out by the Shock Command and K2S0. K2 has varying levels of authority, with K2S0 as the sub-battalion lead. K2 Units are outfitted with the DP-23 shotgun, standard issue E-11, and their fists which can put down any organic target. K2 Units can be requested to assist in prisoner transport.
Imperial Security Bureau personnel can assume temporary command of the Shock Battalion in the event of a large-scale attack on the ISD. It is important to remember that Shock has clear battle stations and clear objectives set out during the event of an attack:
Defend Bridge Check Point (BCP)
Defend the inner Bridge Hallway
In the event of a ground operation, Shock is to frontline along with all other frontline battalions.
Imperial Security Bureau personnel can call on Shock Troopers in the event that large amounts of suspects are resisting arrest. It is important to ask for assistance through traditional means such as radio or communications.
