Have Some Thoughts?

During times like this, we tend to have a lot on our mind. Sometimes taking time out of your day to write down thoughts, ideas, and feelings can be beneficial to your health.

Writing Ideas:

  1. Write about what is going on in the world, your thoughts and feelings on all of these recent events. Keeping a journal of this will be interesting to look back at in 10 years.

  2. Writing stories, poems, songs about current events, past events, and even future events

  3. Writing down a bucket list of things you would like to see/visit/do in the next 1-5 years. Example - I really want to get a dog and train it how to roll over

  4. Creating a vision board with future goals. Check out this link on how to create one

BENEFITS OF WRITING

Studies have shown if you write for 20 minutes for 4 consecutive days a week, you could potentially see the following:

  1. Decrease in illness

  2. Increased self-regulation and insight

  3. Increased ability to find employment after being laid off
