Employee Room Blockout: This was the main path players would need to take to access the security room, but to get access to the employee room, players have to find a way to either impersonate someone who works there or distract the employee by pressing the customer help button right outside the entrance.
Security Room: Players would need to find the codes to get access to the security room, which then would allow players to wear a security outfit and steal food from the grocery with no worries of getting caught. This was not used due to the limited time we had to finish the game.
Raccoon Grocery Store Heist:
The setup: Play as three raccoons stacked inside a trench coat as they sneak through a grocery store to collect items from a shopping list
Your objective: Steal every listed item and make it back to your dumpster home without filling the Suspicion bar and getting caught
Balance the raccoons: Keep the raccoons upright as you walk, turn, and move around the store. if they tip over, you can restack them and try again
Blend in with NPCs: Swap between three mask expressions and choose lines from three english lesson cassettes. the right combination helps keep NPCs unsuspecting and the wrong one raises the Suspicion bar and risks exposing your disguise
Use the environment: Create distractions, knock over items, press buttons, and hide behind objects to help pull off the theft
What makes it challenging: Success means managing the raccoons’ balance, choosing the right masks and dialogue, interacting with the environment, collecting everything on the list, and getting home safely
Controls: Use W to move, Q and E to keep the raccoons from falling, and the left mouse button to steal items. Move the mouse to control the camera and choose the direction you want to go
