Employee Room Blockout: This was the main path players would need to take to access the security room, but to get access to the employee room, players have to find a way to either impersonate someone who works there or distract the employee by pressing the customer help button right outside the entrance.
Security Room: Players would need to find the codes to get access to the security room, which then would allow players to wear a security outfit and steal food from the grocery with no worries of getting caught. This was not used due to the limited time we had to finish the game.
Players control three raccoons stacked in a trench coat as they steal items from a grocery store, following a grocery list. The mission is complete when all items are collected without being caught (filling out the Suspicion bar).Players must balance the raccoons while walking, turning, and moving, with the ability to restack if they tip over. The raccoons wear a mask that can be swapped between three expressions, and players choose lines from three English lesson cassettes. The correct combination of mask and line keeps NPCs unaware, while wrong combinations raise the Suspicion bar and risk detection.Players can interact with the environment to aid theft: create distractions, knock over items, press buttons, and hide behind objects. Success depends on collecting all items and returning home to their dumpster while managing balance, masks, dialogue, and environmental interactions.Controls: Use Q and E keys to control the raccoons from falling and mouse left button to steal items from the grocery store. W to move around and use mouse to control camera to the direction you want the character to move. Interesting Note: The original level had an employee area, security room, a workout area, a cafe, and a food stall upstairs where players could take elevators from both sides of the level to get there. We also had many aisles inspired by Costco grocery stores. We had to cut down about 70-75% of the level due to the due to the limited time we had for the game jam and Most of the original blockouts were used to finish the game.https://globalgamejam.org/games/2026/totally-one-adult-human-8
