Course project: I was given a set of assets and challenged to create my own 2.5D game using PaperZD, Blueprints, and Niagara
Character animation: I used Paper2D in Unreal Engine to turn flipbooks into fully animated characters
Landscape design: I hand-sculpted the landscape and layered different materials to create a more dynamic environment. i also added extra nodes to bring more detail to the landscape textures and reduce repetitive tiling in Unreal Engine
Water and foliage: I added water bodies to create a lake and river, then used procedural foliage tools and learned how to prevent foliage from overlapping
Building the world: I used the provided assets to create a completely different world, applying packed level actors along with careful snapping, rotation, and scaling
Level design: My level design skills helped me bring the environment together and shape it into the world I envisioned
Finishing touches: I used my foundational lighting skills to create the atmosphere and set up the main character and enemies
